More individual cinematography examples!

These photographs explore varied moments and environments from a garden centre to a graveyard, each image possesses its own narrative, mood and perspective. Together they represent my attention to detail, creative eye and visual approaches to cinematography.

This image was taken within a garden centre, to me the lotus flower emerging from the stem represents new life or emotional development as it emerges through the frame.

This image was taken within the Butterfly sanctuary  in Sheffield, to me the butterfly's wings resemble that of a stained glass window; delicate and fragile.

This photograph to me creates a moving end of day stillness, as though the moment is stopped between dusk and night.

Similar to the last it creates a shifted moment between dusk and night, however with the moon being visible on a light background it could create a sense of abnormality, as most of the time within film the moon is seen in complete darkness.

With this image I wanted to bring a sense of unknowing into the frame by including a faceless character beneath an archway while also including the sun setting behind the graves.

With this photograph I intended the graffiti to be the centre of attention to show chaos, however I believe that it was the straight gravel path creating a natural leading line establishing mystery.

With this image I planned for the church tower to serve as the vocal point of the frame, however I appreciated the effect of the fog appearing to be light orange from the background of the sky as the sun was rising.
